Archibus by Eptura Cloud at YPF: remedying obsolescence and evolving the workplace

ABTIO is supporting YPF in a project to evolve Eptura–ARCHIBUS Cloud to manage spaces, maintenance, portfolio, and general services. Following the migration to SaaS, upgrades to 2022.02 and 2024.01 were carried out and new services for occupants were incorporated, extending the scope from Torre Puerto Madero to buildings in the provinces of Buenos Aires and Neuquén. Focus: operational continuity.

Client

YPF, the fuel market leader in Argentina, with a network of more than 1,500 service stations and a corporate presence in multiple buildings throughout the country.

Challenge

To maintain the continuity and evolution of the ARCHIBUS platform used to manage workplace operations and real estate assets, avoiding risks due to technological obsolescence and supporting new service needs for occupants at different locations.

Solution

Since the construction of its flagship tower in Puerto Madero (2008), YPF has relied on ABTIO to implement ARCHIBUS to manage:

  • Maintenance and operations
  • General services
  • Space management
  • Transfers
  • Real estate assets

In 2021, the migration of the system to SaaS mode on version v26.1 began, enabling a scheme of continuous updating and evolution.

Modules considered in the SaaS migration phase (2021):

•    ARCHIBUS Foundations

•    Space Management

•    Building Operations

•    Portfolio Management

Impact

In the first phase of the project (2021), the following were under management:

  • 3,870 employees
  • 46,000 m2

Since the transition to SaaS, the operation has gained predictability in keeping the system up to date and accompanying the functional evolution of the workplace over time.

Evolution of the last period

After the migration to SaaS:

  • The upgrade to version 2024.01 was carried out, previously passing through 2022.02.
  • The management of new general services for the occupants of the Puerto Madero Tower was incorporated and the scope was extended to other buildings in:
    • Province of Buenos Aires
    • Neuquén
  • Location information was updated by YPF users/departments themselves, consolidating the location inventory in ARCHIBUS.
