Implementation of Archibus by Eptura for Vaneduc’s Facilities Management and Building Maintenance Consulting at UAI

The Universidad Abierta Interamericana (UAI), a private educational institution belonging to the Vanguardia Educativa network (VANEDUC), has been a reference in teaching and research in Argentina since 1995. With more than 30,000 students and a wide range of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate academic offerings, the UAI has campuses in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Greater Buenos Aires (Castelar, Ituzaingó, Boulogne, Lomas de Zamora and Berazategui) and the city of Rosario. 

In 2009, VANEDUC chose ABTIO to carry out the implementation of Facilities Management and Building Maintenance Consulting in this university and in the rest of its member institutions. It was integrated with AutoCAD drawings and included the modules of: 

  • Preventive Maintenance 
  • Corrective Maintenance 
  • Facilities Help Desk 

These modules allowed the management of the following functions:  

  • Follow-up of requests and jobs 
  • Preparation of manuals and routines 
  • Critical equipment inventory 
  • Standardization of maintenance management 
  • Failure history 

Thanks to this solution, VANEDUC and UAI were able to improve traceability, operational efficiency and decision making around the maintenance of their buildings, ensuring safe and functional educational environments for their academic community.
