Archibus by Eptura implementation at tgestiona for Telefónica’s Real Estate Portfolio Management

Telefónica, S.A. is a Spanish multinational telecommunications company with state participation, headquartered in Madrid. It is the fourth largest telecommunications company in Europe and the sixteenth largest worldwide. The company uses three main brands to market its products and services: Movistar, which operates in Spain and Latin America; O2, which provides services in Europe; and Vivo, which is present in Brazil. Tuenti is also used in Argentina and Ecuador.

In 2009, tgestiona relied on ABTIO for the implementation of Archibus by Eptura for Telefónica’s Real Estate Portfolio Management. This implementation was integrated with AutoCAD and included the following modules:

Lease Administration
Portfolio Management
Cost Administration
Space management

These functionalities were applied to more than 2 million sqm distributed in offices, branches, antennas and parking spaces, allowing a centralized and efficient management of:

Energy consumption
Permits and authorizations
IFMA standards
Payment due dates
Distribution keys

Thanks to this implementation, Telefónica was able to improve the visibility and control of its real estate assets, ensuring an efficient use of its resources and strengthening its long-term planning and maintenance capacity.
